The Arrival
The sculptural group was created by Jan Agerbo. It is made of charred oak using the Japanese technique Shou Sugi Ban. Bramming has five black figures, while Esbjerg has four white figures by the sea.
Liv og Død (Life and Death)
The stone sculpture by Andres Amáncio Gonzáles is part of the 2004 Stone Symposium, themed on the Renaissance figure Kaj Lykke. It depicts both the living human body and death, represented by a skull, carved from the same block of stone.
Kaj Lykkes Hoved (Kaj Lykke’s Head)
This sculpture by Nicolae Fleissig was created for the 2004 Stone Symposium. It combines two types of stone shaped in different ways. A smooth head with a band of rough stones explores the human inner and outer life.
Mennesker Mødes (People Meet)
Artist Leif Fogh Jakobsen created these three sculptures. The title refers both to their placement in a busy square and to the meeting between them. Like people, each sculpture has its own distinct character.
